Photo Quest

A DAY OF ENTERTAINING PHOTO EXPOSITIONS ON THE BIG SCREEN

To complement our 4th Amateur Photo Competition & Show we held PHOTO QUEST on Saturday April 25, 2009 at Assiniboia’s Olympia Theatre.  There wasn't be a bad seat in the house.  The entertaining day included four enthusiastic speakers with key note speaker Daryl Benson - one of Canada's most celebrated contemporary landscape and nature photographers.   Larry Easton with his new book “Legacy of Stone – Saskatchewan’s Stone Buildings” which is a Saskatchewan best seller and sold out its first printing immediately.  DeLee Grant, who travels to many 3rd world countries sharing her photos of Saskatchewan and brings back photos to share with us.  Brent Parkin specializes in photographing vanishing prairie structures, the American Southwest and the Rocky Mountains.  Brent explained in detail how he uses Google Earth to plan his photography/holiday trips.  www.extraordinarylight.com

Each of these gifted photographers shared tips, humour and the world as they see it.

On behalf of the Group of Ten Photography Club I would like to thank each of you for a great day for photoholics.
